The Lake George RV Park is the result of a life-long mission of Victor and Jessica King. Every one of the campsites, buildings and amenities found on our 150+ acres is the result of their vision. Their children, David and Suzanne and their families, continue to act as the Park's stewards - preserving all the best from the past and making new offerings that continue to meet the expectations of today's campers. The Kings have always been RV campers themselves. When they are not busy hosting the guests of their Park, they are scouting out new ideas from Parks around our great country. Every decision that is made in operating their facility is made through the eyes of a camper. Here is a simplified time-line of our first 4 decades:
- Victor and Jessica break ground in May on the Lake George Travel Trailer Park.
- The Lake George Travel Trailer Park opens to the public in June, offering over 200 full hookup pull-thru sites (30 amp electric, water and sewer), three shower and restroom buildings, one tennis court, one playground, an Olympic sized swimming pool and a kiddie pool, bonfire pavilion and coin laundry facilities. All of the roads in the park were paved from opening day onwards!
– Our first Teen Room/Arcade is constructed
- Woodland Drive campsite area is created offering an additional 40 full hookup campsites.
– The 300-campsite area – known as “The Pines” is constructed offering an additional 50 full hookup, pull-thru campsites. An additional three all-weather tennis courts, basketball court and volleyball courts are constructed near the main entrance. Paved bike trails constructed throughout the East End of the park, and around the two ponds.
– French Mountain Trading Post, offering nearly 2,000 square feet of air-conditioned retail space, is opened near our main entrance.
– West Teen Center and stairway to Woodland Campsite area is opened.
– Covered Bridge built over Rocky Creek and six campsites constructed next to the creek.
– Construction begins on the East Campsite area (now known as Inner and Outer Loops) offering an additional 70 full hookup, back-in campsites. These sites were designed to meet the needs of groups and rallies that prefer to be located close together.
