We do have a customizable seasonal site program. For instance, guests looking to stay the entire camping season could essentially book the discounted Spring Weekender Program, a reservation for the entire Summer season, and the discounted Fall Weekender Program. Our seasonal rate for this particular type of reservation is $6,535. All seasonal sites include sewer, water, electric (30 or 50 amp service) and cable television. If time commitments and budget prevent you from staying the entire camping season, shorter stays during the Summer season can be arranged and your rate will change accordingly. Daily off-site storage is available for $5/day for seasonal sites that are unable to stay the entire camping season. Winter off-site storage is also available for $390. LAKE GEORGE RV PARK WINS NATIONAL AWARD This Fall proves to be an exciting one at the Lake George RV Park. Not only has the park won national honors in guest ratings for 2009, but we have also received news of winning another national title. Our RV Park has been presented with the Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC) award for best Direct Mail Promotion of the Year 2009. This is the second time our RV resort has won this prestigious award and we are extremely proud! Chris Arnold, the creative mastermind behind these direct mail promotions says, “The RV Park has become a big part of my life, so the inspiration and creativity that gets put into the newsletter has transpired from my experiences here and the time I have spent at the park over the years. This is our 2nd year to receive an “A” for guest satisfaction, making us one of only 16 RV Parks nation wide to receive this honor two years in a row. Have you heard about the latest adventure game for gps users?Geocaching is an outdoor “treasure hunting game” in which participants use a gps to hide containers called "geocaches" or "caches".A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure", usually toys or trinkets of little value.The latitude & longitude of the cache is then posted on the Internet, and other people go hunting for it.Geocaching is an increasingly popular, inclusive, fun and healthy activity for individuals of all ages.Kids love it, so it provides the perfect setting for outdoor family fun. To showcase our RV parks love for the wilderness we have included a Geocaching event, on select Fridays during the months of July and August, to our list of featured programs and activities. WE'RE PUTTING THE 'FUN' BACK INTO FAMILY FUN Recently, we have taken both of our arcades to a whole new level by introducing more than 32 of the hottest sport, skill, instant redemption and arcade games you've ever seen. In addition to your favorite classics like air hockey and billiards, guests will now be able to compete against one another and test their skills on a variety of hi-definition, eye catching graphical games like Fast & Furious Super Bikes, Big Buck Hunter Pro and Namco's Jumpin Fantasy (a virtual jump rope game where players jump as the game spins.) We are very excited about the 'new look' of our arcades and feel that these new games will keep your family entertained and amused.
ParkNet - OUR HIGH SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE PROVES TO BE A BIG HIT WITH OUR GUESTS 'ParkNet' is a new state-of-the-art service providing wireless internet at all park areas. Guests that have camped with us have been very receptive to this service, with thousands logging on in its first full year of operation. All that you need to access this internet service is a laptop computer, wireless internet card (also available for purchase at our campground store) and a major credit card. A variety of internet usage packages are available for as little as $10.00, which includes technical support! So, this year add your laptop to your vacation checklist! Both IBM and Macintosh laptops will work fine as long as DHCP networking is enabled. We are very excited to be one of the first RV resorts in our industry to provide this innovative service to our customers.
CAMPSITE ENHANCEMENTS CONTINUE – WOODLAND DRIVE SITES BEING RENOVATED FOR 2009 SEASON As many of you have seen first hand, we are continuing to follow through on our plan to enhance every one of our sites with new surface materials and plantings.Our new enhanced sites will offer more space for your RV, as well as, beautiful natural landscaping around each site.To date we have renovated over 250 sites and planted more than 3,000 new trees and plants.Our goal is to create an RV campsite that is neat and natural in appearance, allowing you to enjoy Lake George camping at its absolute finest.This past Spring (2009) we turned our attention to the Woodland Drive area of our park.These 30 or so sites were next on our list to receive their makeover. DID YOU KNOW? Grass Carp can grow to be about 4ft. long and weigh in at 40-50 pounds.They can eat up to 3 times their own body weight daily.No native North American species of fish is as strictly herbivorous as the grass carp. Grass Carp feed from the top of the plant down so that mud is not stirred up.If you catch one of these carp in our stocked pond, please release so they can continue to keep our pond clean.
