Camper Cafe’ Counter Service

This team member works in our Camper Café, located in our east recreation building. This position requires standing for long periods of time. The basic duties of this position include preparing light snacks/sandwiches, ice cream, and breakfast. You are also required to provide supervision of the Outdoor and indoor pool area, arcade and Family Lodge. These duties include but are not limited to, light cleaning and organizing, emptying garbage, stocking necessary items and opening and closing procedures. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.   Full or Part Time. Wage is $19.00 per hour.

Camper Cafe’ Assistant Supervisor

Part time Spring and Fall and Part to Full time Summer. This team member works in our Camper Café, located in our east recreation building. This position requires standing for long periods of time. The basic duties of this position include all of the duties of the Café’ Counter service position (see below) plus the ability to train, schedule and supervise Café staff.  Ability to clean/maintain café equipment including soft serve ice cream machine (will train). Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in food service industry. Must be able to work through Columbus Day weekend. Wage is $19.00 – $21.00 per hour.

Front Desk Leader

This team member is responsible for leading members of the front desk staff. Duties include solving guest issues, training and supervising front desk staff and maintaining the general store POS inventory system. Nightly lockup/closing of park buildings. Must be available nights and weekends. Good phone skills and computer ability is required. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. This position requires standing for long periods of time. Must be available to work May – October. Full or part time. Wage is $21.00  per hour.

Front Desk/Store/Entry Booth

This team member’s responsibilities include registration of guests as they arrive, taking reservations by phone, operating the store cash register, as well as straightening and restocking store products. Stocking store products involves going up/down stairs and lifting heavy items. In addition, this person needs to be able to resolve customer issues and needs in an efficient and polite manner.   Good phone skills and computer ability are required. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. This position requires standing for long periods of time.  Full or Part time. Wage is $19.00 per hour.

Front Desk/Store/Late Night Guest Relations

This team member’s responsibilities include registration of guests as they arrive, taking reservations by phone, operating the store cash register, as well as straightening and restocking store products. Stocking store products involves going up/down stairs and lifting heavy items. In addition, this person needs to be able to work at least 2 late evening (10pm-4am) shifts resolving customer issues and needs in an efficient and polite manner as well as providing cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping.   Good communication skills and computer ability are required. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. This position requires standing for long periods of time.  Full or Part time. Wage is $20.00 per hour plus $3.00 per hour bonus for late evening shifts.

Cleaning

This is a vital position for Lake George RV Park operations. Responsibilities include working on a cleaning team of two persons to sanitize public restroom areas and showers throughout the Park. Cleaning of lounges, restaurant areas, laundries, movie theaters, RV Rental Units and office areas is also required. Positions can be part time or full time, from late-June thru Labor Day.  Wage is $21.00 per hour including end of season bonus.Cleaning and Maintenance Staff

Janitorial Services Assistant Supervisor

Full time April 15- October 15. This team member works in our Janitorial Services Department.  The basic duties of this position include all of the duties of the cleaning position (see above) plus the ability to train, schedule and supervise janitorial staff.  Ability to lift 50 lbs. and operate pressure washing equipment a must. Overtime may be available.  Wage is $23.00 – $25.00 per hour.

Assistant Manager Year -Round

Assistant Manager Trainee reports directly to Senior Assistant Manager, GM and CEO and assists with all aspects of daily park operation. They will be responsible for managing up to 20 persons during park operation and will work directly with fellow Senior Assistant manager.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Taking ownership and responsibility with resolving customer complaints or issues, while upholding LGRVP customer service standards.

  • Prioritizing daily tasks to ensure business operation flows smoothly.
  • Management of staff, including but not limited to training, delegation of job duties and follow up.
  • Proficient in formulation of letters and correspondence, graphic design, Microsoft Office and social media marketing outlets.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local business for implementation of advertising sales and marketing efforts.
  • Knowledgeable with POS systems and basic retail functions. Will be responsible in oversight of general store including but not limited to: stocking, inventory, and purchasing.
  • Mastery of park reservation policies, reservation system, and all park front line seasonal positions.
  • Maintain and provide a positive and professional image at all times when representing the Lake George RV Park.

Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in the hospitality field and relevant experience in hospitality field.  Minimum 2 year degree required.  They should have exceptional communication and customer service skills. Job entails standing for long periods of time and including lifting objects up to 30lbs. Candidate must be flexible in their ability to cover any schedule needed during the park’s operational season, including but not limited to: additional hours due to business need, late/early hours or unscheduled shift.

The assistant manager trainee can expect to work an average of 50 hours and 6 days per week during our Summer season, 40 hours and 5 days per week during our Spring and Fall seasons, and 30 hours and 4 days per week during the Winter season. These are estimates and will change as the Park’s needs change. Coverage on night and weekend shifts are mandatory when Park is open to the public. Vacation, Health insurance and retirement benefits are available after mandatory probationary period.  $27-30 per hour based on qualifications.  To apply: email resume and cover letter to [email protected] and fill out online application.

Maintenance/Groundskeeper – Year-round

Maintenance staff are key to exceeding guest expectations. Our year-round resort maintenance techs work 5-6 days per week from October-March, and 6 days per week from April – November, including all weekend days, daytime shifts only. Prior experience in lawn care and outdoor maintenance is preferred but not required. Responsibilities include daily campsite and fire-ring cleaning, swimming pool maintenance, garbage pickup, raking, mowing, trimming, blowing, clearing of brush, weeding, shoveling, fall cleanup, light construction/excavation and all other outdoor maintenance related tasks. Ability to work safely with powered maintenance equipment is required. Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather from 8 am – 5 pm, every day of the week, including weekends (until winter, then most weekends off). Days off are scheduled on weekdays, not on weekends during the guest season (From May 1 to mid-October). Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively. Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle required. Wage commensurate with experience and commitment to a full-time schedule, starting at $23.00. Overtime available during higher occupancy periods.
