Since were opening in just 10 days, for our 49th season! We thought we’d share 10 fun facts about the park.
- The covered bridge is built over an old railroad track
- The building in the main parking lot near the store was the original west arcade
- The original office was housed in the same building as the west showers and bathrooms are, next to the west pool
- The storage lot was once a horse corral. It contained horses and a llama. The llama’s name was Sir Gunther
- On opening day in 1966 there were 250 sites. There was no Woodland Drive, No East End and No Pines area
- In 1976 the East Building and East End opened
- The fishing pond and paddle boat pond were swamps
- The covered bridge is on the New York State Covered Bridge Registry
- The Bingo Pavilion used to be a tennis court
- The original name of the park was Lake George Travel Trailer Park
