With summer behind us and fall beginning, there are new fall events to look forward to. The 2025 Adirondack Balloon Festival begins Thursday, September 18th and ends Sunday, September 21st. This amazing festival features entertainment, craft fairs, kid’s activities, and food vendors! Whether you like sleeping in or waking up early to the crisp fall mornings, there are both sunrise and sunset balloon launches.
Opening ceremonies begin Thursday night at 5 pm and feature a launch of around 15 balloons and an evening moonglow at Crandall Park. At 3pm on Friday you will find a craft fair with a vast assortment of 50+ vendors at Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport. Soon after you will get to see an incredible launch of 70+ balloons including special shapes. Activities will resume bright and early the next morning, which will again include the craft fair and a flight of up to 80 balloons. Later that evening there will be another launch and moonglow starting around 5pm. Don’t forget your last chance to see the balloons Sunday morning to end your fun-filled weekend. Please bundle up and note that all activities are weather permitting.
