The Annual Adirondack Balloon Festival is here again, marking its 41st year the event begins on Thursday September 19th and runs through Sunday September 22nd. With numerous activities taking place all weekend this family friendly event is sure to keep you busy. In addition to the mix add over 100 hot air balloons of all different colors, shapes and varieties and you’re sure to experience an unforgettable site. The opening ceremony will take place in Crandall Park located in Glens Falls on Thursday evening; see the first launch of 20 balloons take flight into the evening sky. After the launch the evening will continue with the shutdown of many streets in Glens Falls for a block party. Enjoy music, classic cars and fireworks to conclude the evening. Friday night’s festivities will begin at 3pm at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport in Queensbury. Around 5pm there will be an additional launch of 80 hot air balloons. The majority of the events will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday!
