Fall into one of our favorite September activities with us! Here in the Adirondacks one of the best early fall activities is definitely visiting an apple orchard. Whether it be picking your own or just grabbing a bag full out of the barn, there are some amazing apple orchard options around the area. Hicks Orchard in Granville is open every day from 9am-6pm; they are one of the oldest U-pick orchards in the area. From apples, to fresh made doughnuts, cider and pie they really have it all. Another local orchard is Saratoga Apple in Schuylerville, open 9am-6pm daily. From a wide range of fresh produce to even a Hard Cider tasting room, Saratoga Apple is a family run farm that has options for the whole family. Mcwhorter’s Apple Orchard in Argyle also has some great apple options plus ciders, jams, and honeys all locally made available in their barn. All of these Orchards are great options for some family fun, some of which have other fall activities such as pumpkin picking; hay rides, and barn animal petting zoos as well.
