Attention Anglers! We filled the pond today with 50 lbs/5000 minnows for the bass we stocked last fall to feed on. We stock the pond with minnows in the Spring because the feeding cycles of Bass fluctuate tremendously during the course of the year, usually in coincidence with the changing seasons. As seasonal weather patterns change, so does a bass’ metabolic rate. When water temperatures are moderate during spring and fall, big bass are much more active than in the extreme temperatures of Summer and Winter. So remember to bring your fishing rods when you come to stay, we also sell tackle and bait at the French Mountain Trading Post. No license is required to fish in our pond.
