August is National Sandwich Month and there are some great sandwich shops in our area to help you celebrate. Cameron’s Deli is located about 15 minutes from our campground. The Egg Planter Sandwich is a great choice if you’re looking for a plant based options. Bean’s Country Store has sandwiches that are named after area landmarks. They are a local favorite for salads, baked goods, subs, and pizzas. They are only a 7 minute drive from our campground. The Patten Mills sandwich has grilled baked ham, Havarti cheese and honey mustard. It is a local favorite. Jacob and Toney’s is a deli located north in Warrensburg that has ginormous sandwiches! They offer traditional sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches. A local favorite is the Homemade Rise and Shine Breakfast Sandwich. It consists of an egg, choice of meat, and choice of cheese all on a hard roll. Another sandwich shop located north of us is Stable Gate Deli. They are a 13 minute drive from our campground. They have many different options for sandwiches and sides, but a favorite is the Paddock Sandwich. It has Honey maple turkey, Granny Smith apples, cheddar cheese, and honey mustard, grilled on multi grain bread. Finally, if you are looking for close proximity, you can’t beat Moose On The Loose. It is located within the outlets on Route 9, and you can even take our trolley to get there. They have some delicious options, but the Mountain Man sandwich is a favorite of locals. It has roast beef, Vermont white cheddar, and sliced tomato on a Kaiser roll. And don’t forget to stop down at our Camper Cafe, they have great sandwich options as well and are located right on property!
