Fourth of July

The Lake George area is an exciting place to spend the Fourth of July. There are many events going on and you have plenty of chances to see fireworks in the region. If you headed south to Glens Falls on Tuesday the 3rd, Crandall Park hosts an event called Summer Pops with the Symphony. They play a number of summertime classics and patriotic tunes in the park for you to enjoy starting at 7:30pm. There are various food vendors and activities for children until dark. Be sure to stay until the end as they the close out the evening with a fireworks display. If you’re interested in seeing fireworks on the lake you might be interested in taking a fireworks cruise with the steamboat company, but you will need to make reservations early as spots fill up fast! If you’re interested in the historical side of the holiday, Fort William Henry offers a reading of the Declaration of Independence at 11am. To finish out the day there will be fireworks at the lake around 9:30pm. We recommend that our guests do not rely on the trolley services to get them back from the fireworks. There is limited space on the trolley and only one pick up at the lake.
