Polar Plunge

Who says that there isn’t anything fun or exciting to do in Lake George once summer is over? It seems that especially with the holidays approaching that the area stays just as full of activities as it does in the summer. For instance this Saturday November 16th at 9am in Lake George at Shepard’s Park Beach the 7th annual Lake George Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics will take place! People from all over the state of New York gather for a common interest, plunging into the cold waters of Lake George in order to raise money for the Special Olympics. Don’t worry, if you don’t think basking in the water of Lake George is your thing during mid-November you can still go down to watch others jump right in. It’s free admission for spectators. Keep your eyes open for other upcoming fun events during this winter season! It’s never too late to try something new!
