Things To Do Spring 2020

As you may have guessed, many of our area attractions have not been given clearance to open yet.  That does not mean that there is nothing to do in the area, though!  We have compiled a list of fun activities that the locals have enjoyed for years.

Hikes

Shelving Rock- Shelving Rock Falls is a 50-foot cascade that lies to the east side of Lake George. With its wide path, it is a great hike for families with little kids or fur babies.  Wear your bathing suits and take a refreshing swim in Log Bay before hiking back out.  It is a local favorite!

Gurney Lane- Perfect for beginners, with its ease and wide trails, you can easily maneuver a stroller along the trail.  There are loops as short as 0.3 miles and as long as 1.1 miles.  If you were looking for a longer trail, you can combine a few of the trails together.

Marinas

Dunham’s Bay- If you are bringing you own boat, this marina is located in a quiet section of Lake George.  It is easily accessible from the campground and the water is usually much calmer in that section of the lake.  They are the only private marina in the area with a boat inspection station.

Chic’s Marina Whether you are bringing your own boat or looking to rent one, Chic’s is able to help.  They have a variety of boats to rent as well as tubes and other towables and paddle boards.  They are located in Bolton Landing, so there is less boat traffic to compete with and the water is a little calmer.  You can also bring your own boat and launch it from there.

Swimming

Million Dollar Beach The most popular beach in Lake George, with the best amenities, Million Dollar Beach is a local favorite.  If you are going to visit, check their availability on their website.  They are currently operating at 50% occupancy and have reduced their hours of operation to only the weekend.

Our Swimming Pools- Now that our pools are open, you don’t have to go anywhere to enjoy a refreshing dip in the water!  We just ask that you use social distancing and limit your time at the pool to an hour so that other families can have a chance to swim, too! (For registered camping guests only)
