The biggest sporting event in the world takes place every 2 years and alternates between the summer and winter; of course we’re referring to the Olympics. Currently underway is the 2014 Winter Olympic Games taking place in Sochi, Russia. It began on February 7th and will continue through February 23rd 2014. Even though it’s nearing the end of these Winter Games some of the biggest events have yet to crown their winners. The Winter Olympics will not occur again for another four years. In 2018 they will be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The Summer Olympics will be held 2 years from now in 2016, these games will be held in Rio, Brazil. It’s always an exciting time when the Olympics occur whether it’s the Winter or Summer Games, and they are always wonderful to watch!
