This past weekend marked a lot of things. We are officially into the month of February which means less than 3 months until we open for our 2014 season! The Annual Winter Carnival began in Lake George and will continue to run on the weekends for the remainder of the month. Sunday also marked the 48th Super Bowl which was held down in New Jersey. And perhaps the most important event of the weekend, it was Groundhog’s Day! As usual on February 2nd Punxsutawney Phil was woken up to predict our fate in regards to a long winter or early spring. Unfortunately for us Punxsutawney did end up seeing his shadow which results in another 6 weeks of winter. It’s safe to say that he was quite accurate with his predication as well. Wednesday we had our worst snowstorm yet, covering the park with a fresh 12 inches of snow. Just keep thinking Spring campers! Less than 90 days until were open again!
